ENEMY ATTACKS ON VAUX.
GERMANS GET A FOOTING ON HAUDAUMONT JWOOD. PARIS, April 2.
Semi-official: The enemy continues to attack stubbornly now on the east, against Vaux, thus finding their action on the centre long since completely paralysed. The enemy seeks a partial decision on the two wings. Vaux is a village in a ravine, flanked by hills en the south whereon is the fort, and on the north is the height whereon is the Hardaumont wood. The Germans got possession of the eastern part of th G village since the tenth, the French retained the remainder wherin tfhe enemy has now secured a footing.
