DEFENCE NOTES.

15TH REINFORCEMENTS. \ The following are the men who have been notified to leave with the Taihape quota of the 15th Reinforcements:— J Mounted. —C E Middleton, Hunterville; C W Campbell, Hunterville; F Laird. Mangaonoho; J Robb, Ohingaiti; J T Walton, Pukeokahu. Infantry. -—CL Nicholls, Taihape; C H Little, Mangaweka; B Bartlett. Mangaweka; G L Hancox, Eangiwahia; A E Balneaves, Mataroaa; W Cargill, Taihape; C Taylor, Taihape; W H Wilson, Turangarer.e; W Brown, Turangarere; W Backons, Moawhango; F Woods, Taihape; A Gi Jones, Taihape; S Dixon, Taihape; G H Hamlyn, Turagarere; J J Murphy, Mataroa. These men are to leave Taihape by the 6 a.m. train on Monday for Palmerston North. There are still l vacancies in vhe Infantrv.

The men will be tendered a farewell social and dance at the Town Hall tomorrow night by the Patriotic Committee. No charge for admission will be made but a collection will be taken up at the door.
