THE SHACKLETON EXPEDITION.
RELIEF SHIP MUST BE SENT. [ LONDON. March 27. A meeting of official representatives of the Shackleton Expedition, at which Lady Shackleton was present, considered Lieutenant Stenhouse's report, and decided that steps must be immediately taken organise a relief expedition to rescue the explorers left at Ross Sea. Attempts are being made to send wireless instructions to Lieutenant Stenhouse to forward at the earliest moment details of the stores and sledging equipment landed from the Aurora. Until the Endurance is spoken, enabling the authorities to know whether'Sir E. Shackleton. and his party are aboard or landed at Weddel Sea for the trans-continental march, it could not be decided whether a second relief ship is required.
