WELLINGTON WOOLLEN DISPUTE
THE MILITARY CONTRACTS. WELLINGTON;, March 20. In regard to the Wellington M oollen Mills dispute, the Hon. A. M. Myers (Minister of Munitions) stated to-day that the Wellington Woollen Company was under obligation to supply a large quantity of cloth, etc, for military purposes for delivery monthly. The oirectors had informed him that they could carry out the contract for .March, and until they failed to do so he could not take action. In regard to the luture the obligation resting on his shoulders to see cloth was delivered would necessitate action being taken in due course. A meeting of mill-own-ers would be held to-morrow in AV ell - ington,. and he trusted that satisfactory arrangements would be arrived at to enable the military supplies to be duly delivered up to the’end of the year in accordance with the contracts.
