Rangatane, the locally-owned chestnut, will probably be a starter in the Steeplechase at the Ohinemuri meeting on Friday. He is reported to be doing well on the Ellerslie tracks. Last Thursday in company with Nat Lupin he was given a jump over the sod wall, double and stone wall, and fenced well.
