TAIHAPE HOSPITAL FUND.
The document hereunder will explain itself. The Hospital Committee are £4O short of the amount of their annual contribution, and it was decided, first, to hold a concert, but friends said they would rather subscribe. Mr. J. Smith, on behalf of the local Committee, circulated a subscription list and in a few r Lours yesterday achieved these results. It is as follows: To the Residents of Taihape and District, — Our fifth annual contribution of £IOO is now due and the local Committee find themselves with but £6O. As as the district has invariably met this obligation they feel sure that default will not be met on this occasion.
