FOR CARGO IN TOKOMARU. j JFDGMENT AGAINST COMPANY. LONDON, Feb. 11# An action upon the result of which, other claims totalling £200.000 depend arising ost of the submarining of the steamer Tokomaru, was decided today. James Morrison Company, owners and consignees of 158 bales of Noav Zealand wool, obtained judgment for £4,013 and costs against the Bhaw, Bavill Company, on the ground that the Tokomaru was not justified in deviating from Iter course, calling at Havre and landing frozen meat for the French Government. Mr. Justice Bailhache held that defendants, tempted by a high rate of freight, ran the risk of the vessel being torpedoed, which was recognised as possible but regarded as improbable. The improbable happened.
