NEXT THURSDAY AT RAETIHI.

The Waimarino Agricultural, Pastoral, Horticultural, and Industrial Association's Show takes place on Thursday next, 17th inst. This year'sexhibition is brought under the notice of those who are interested in such Shows, as it is now assuming proportion, and a comprehensiveness that renders it a most useful function. The entries t-his year are double what they were last year, the sheep classes being particularly well patronised. Cattle entries are twice what they were last year, and only in horses is there any falling-off, probably owing to most of the horse-showing men of the district having gone to the front. In every other section of th e Show the entries have surpassed the best anticipations of the executive. The large membership of the Waimarino Association indicates the universal interest taken; tliere are now over three hundred of a membership. With fine weather, there is extrem 0 promise, of the forthcoming' S-how being a huge success. This year's exhibition at Raetihi should be well worth a visit from many settlers hereabouts, for it is only by what fh<> district can produce can an approximate idea, of its progress be obtained. A
