IMPORTANT DEFENCE NOTICE.
TELEGRAM TO THE MAYOR. 13TH REINFORCEMENT RECRUITS. TO LEAVE ON MONDAY. Tho following telegram lias been received by the Mayor (Mr A. L. Arrowsmith) from the Defence authorities.' — ‘‘ Please note and make as largely known as possible that recruits for the 13th Reinforcements will proceed to Palmerston North by the first train, from Taihape on Monday, 7th February —not Tuesday, as originally intended. , ‘ ‘ Recruits from your district ' -should report to the nearest Defence Office on Saturday, the oth inst.”
