Hitherto it lias been the custom for the Defence Department to notify the next-of-kin by telegram of all instances of soldiers admitted to hospital from the various military training camps. It has now been decided that in future minor cases will be communicated to relatives by letter instead of telegram, and thus obviate the disquieting effects which the receipt of telegrams naturally produce on the recipients. In urgent cases, where the condition of the patient is serious, an urgent wire will! be despatched to t-be next-of-kin, as at present, when the attending medical officer recommends such a cou-rs of action. “Now, Gladys, gc. in ort that gas-box, It’s time all young girls were in bed; The nights arc too cold for love-non-sense, And you have a bad cold in your head.” "O, mamma, it's so warm in this corner There”s no need to worry, I’m sure. Nor Bertie’s just brought me a bottle Ot Woods’ Great Peppermint Curb."
