RANGITIKEI A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
The Fifth Annual Show of the Rangitikei Agricultural and Pastoral Association is to be held on Wednesday, the 23rd February, and gives every promise of being the best yet held here. The schedules, which have already been distributed, provide for more classes than ever and it is anticipated that the entries this year will constitute a record, especially in view of the fact that the proceeds are to be devoted to the Patriotic Fund. The Association are to be heartily congratulated on their decision in this regard ,and it is hoped that the district will loyally support them. The prizes to be distributed are especially generous, a very large number of donations having been received. In addition to the prizes shown in the schedules, the Committee is giving a £3 3./- third prize for the Ladies’ Hunter’s Competitions. The management are leaving no stone unturned to take the show 'a huge success and, given fine weather, there is little doubt that their efforts will be crowned with success. For the size of the district the local show compares more than favourably with any in the dominion. Entries close with the Secretary, Mr. A. M. Ryan, on Saturday, 12th February.
The Main Trunk Ram Fair will be held on the day following the Show and enrties for this will close on the 27th instant.
Full particulars in regard to the Show and also the Ram Fair can be obtained from the Secretary, Mr. A. M. Ryan, Box 81, Taihape, who will be pleased to provide schedules on application.
