While fishing on Sunday at the mouth of the Esk river where is runs into the inner hajrbour at Invercargill, a man felt something entwine itself round his leg, and discovered that an octopus was clinging will one of its tentacles. The marine visitor gav e a good squeeze, but it was hauled ashore with the assistance of another man. A examination showed that the feelers were 18 to 21 inches in length.
