WHEREAS at a conference of Patriotic Societies held at Wellington on the 19th November, 1915, it was inter alia resolved and agreed that Patriotic Committees accept responsibility for supplementing separation allowances of wives ,of soldiers, assisting parents and other s depending wholly cr parti'ally en soldiers and providing comfort s for their children in addition to providing comforts for the sick and wounded soldiers. As therefore the objects of the Wounded Soldiers* Fund are extended to embrace the objects of the Local Relief Fund, the Taihape and District Patriotic' Committee proposes to amalgamate these two funds unless objection, in writing, be lodged with the Hon.
