Under the heading, “Better Off Outside,” the January Railway Review has the following:—"A good number of railway men have been leaving the service of late, some with a good number of ye'airs’ service to their credit. The reason given by the majority is the low wages at present paid by the department, and the more attractive conditions prevailing outside. Should this state of things continue, the department will find itself shei't of men, and will b* impelled to take some action in the way making the service more attractive.
