* '■ - ■ .. l KING’S THEATRE. '‘T-ho Life Line,” a fine Lubin drama, featuring that' popular actor, Arthur Johnstone,” the favourite of all/ picture-goers, will be one of the stars to-night. It is a play of smiles and tears. The story is of a bachelor of 40, who loves his stenographer, whose brother is a bad lot, which gives to the romance exciting and driving force. There is a special star Keystone of 2,000 ft, featuring Ford Sterling, who keeps things moving. “Haunting Memories” is a pathetic drama, while the programme includes the War Gazette, and other good things. This programme should not be missed. THREE STARS THEATRE. Picture-goers will have the pleasure; of again seeing Little Mary Pickford in a dazzling comedy entitled “How Mary Fixed It.” In this cornedWshe gets mixed up in a boxing mates—in fact, it is the funniest thing she has ever acted in. “The Straight and Narrow Path” is a beautiful pathetic drama; story of temptation and resistance; a valuable insight into a shop-girl’s life. The funny part of the programme is a Keystone of 2,000 ft. There is something doing all the time in this comedy, and no one can resist laughing. An exciting Lubin drama is “At the Stroke of Five.” The latest European Gazette and “Departure of the Second Maori Reinforcements” make up a really good programme.
