OHAKUNE NOTES.
The new : Patriotic Hall now in course of erection in a most convenient and central position will be completed and ready for occupation in about three weeks. Mr. Costello is erecting a new residence on tlic Eangataua Eoad; o>xl progress is being made. The land milled out by Messrs Polled and Co. has been purchased by Messrs. G.oldlinch and Co., who intend farming it. Trooper Norman Hatfield, grandson of Captain. Hatfield, returned by the express train yesterday. He was met by His Worship the Mayor with a mo-tor-car and was driven to his home on the Eangataua Eoad. The Ohakuno contingent of the 12th Reinforcements are to leare foi camp on Monday, 10th inst., by the half-past ten train. -V farewell and send-off is to be given the men in the Town Hall. A civic reception is to be accorded returned wounded soldiers on the same evening.
