THE KAISER AND HIS DUPES.

BLASPHEMY AND BOMBAST. LONDON, December 31. The kaiser’s New Year order to the Army and jNavy reads:—"Comrades, >a year of severe fighting has elapsed. The enemy in superior numbers has failed to rush our lines'. I sent you to battle and you have gained glorious victories. Thankfully we remember to-da,y those of our brethren who have joyfully given their blood in order to gain security for their beloved ones at home and imperishable glory for the JPatherland. What they began we shall accomplish with God’s gracious help. In impotent madness our enemies, West, East, North and South, still strive to deprive us of all that makes life worth living. They have long buried the hope of conquering us In fair fighting, but believe they can still reckon upon the weight of their masses, the starvation of our entire people, and the influence of their campaign calumny, which is as mischievous as it is malicious. Their plans will not succeed, their hopes will be .miserably disappointed. In the present spirit determination which im.pertubably unites the Army and those at home with the will to do one’s duty to the Fatherland to the last breath, and the determination to secure victory, we enter the Now Year with God for the protection of our fatherland, and for Germany’s greatness.
