IN KHAKI AT SIXTEEN.
The mother of Wellington Davis, o: Ottawa, was so anxious that her son should enlist that she went to \'v: Canadian Militia Department and asked that he be allowe d to go, a! though he was only 16 years old. On:* of the officials there said that the Department was willing if the 77tn would accept him. She went to Captain O'Donoghue, adjutant of the battalion, and he tried to discourage her from allowing her only boy to go when he was but 16 years old Sho, however, pressed her request, with the result that the boy, so keen to be n, soldier, is. now in khaki.
