It is understood that the Union Company does not intend to run any of the usual Christmas and New Year excursions this year. Eegulations governing applications for land by agents on behalf of the expeditionary forces now on service are contained in this week's Gazette. Generally, the regulations provide that during the absence at the front of a member of the forces, a properly authorised representative, acting on Ms behalf, may take advantage of the provisions of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1915, which sets forth the conditions under which soldiers may take up land.
