KING’S THEATRE. THURSDAY NIGHTS PICTURE. The following are nxcerps of letters received from Wellington clergymen: The Rev. J. G. Chapman writes: “I thank yon very much for the courtesy of sending me a complimutary ticker to witnss the motion picture named “The Avenging Conscience.” I attended last night and was well phrased with the whole production. It was indeed a most powerful representation of mysterious operations of Conscience, and was calculated to impress the mind, as no words could, with the truth that as a man sows he reaps. ’ ’ The Rev. G. Ernest Hale writes: “I thank you for your invitation to see the interesting picture drama, “The Avenging Conscience." I was present on Saturday night and was very pleased with the whole programme. lam sure “The Avenging Conscience” has done good. Bv a strange coincidence, I was preaching on the subject of Conscience yesterday, having arranged to do so a month beforehand. The pleasant 'relief” at the end of your drama I regard as particularly apt. I assure 1 you I am quite aware of the moral influence which the picture theatre can exert. I wish you every success.”
