PLUNKET NURSE SOCIETY.
A meeting of the above Society was held in the Nurse’s Room, Town Hall, on Friday, December 3. Present: Mcsdames Thurston (chair), Timbs, Jennings, Loughnan, and the Secretary.
Nurse Jones reported that she had now ,117 babies on the books, ton of which are new eases. She had pni 160 visits in Taihape and in stations, but owing to the fact that there aro now live sub-branches of the Society to be attended to, for the future there will not be so much time for visiting, and it is honied that mothers will visit Nurse Jones at her office. There were 115 visitors to the various offices during the month. The health of the babies in the district is, on the whole, satisfactory. Nurse Jones asked for her annual holiday in February, and it was resolved to apply to Karitane for a relieving nurse to carry on the work during her absence.
It Avas decided not to hold the usual monthly meeting in January. The next meeting is to be on the first Friday in February.
Subscriptions were received during the month from Mesdames Whitehead and Barsby.
