EXPLOSIVE SHELLS AN© MACHINE-GUNS.

To-morrow (Saturday) . . evening n lecture on "Explosive Shells and Machine-guns ■” will be delivered ifl the Town Hall, Taihape, by Staff-Ser-geant-Major Tuckey, : The proceeds are to be devoted to the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund, the lecture being delivered under the auspices of th local Patriotic Society. There is sure to bo a large audience as great interest is dsplayed by the public in the subject to be dealt with, and Staff-Sergeant-Major Tuckey has gone to considerable trouble to obtain a machine-gun and sectional shells so that the lecture may be made as practical as possible. The machine-gun has been put to more use in the present struggle than over before, and very few people really understand the principle of the gun. This lecture will give all an opportunity of gaining considerable knowledge. • gjSf
