ENTERTAINMENTS.

KING’S THEATRE. A good audience and a splendid programme was the order last night. The star picture, “A Fight to the Death,” was one of the most exciting dramas shown for some time. “Within the German Lines” was very good, and the rest of the programme was well up to standard. Tlie programme will be repeated again tonight. THREE STARS THEATRE. A powerful Lubin drama will be the star to-night, entitled “Who Violates the Law.” Here you have a swift, strong, and vital drama. Though all its characters are plain, middle-class people, the career of the very human chief character is surprising and splendid. The supporting items are: “The French Army in Woevre,” War Gazette, “The Rocky Road to Love,” a roaring Keystone, * 1 Lola the Eat.” MOTHER GOOSE PANTOMIME. TOWN HALL TO-NIGHT. To-night at the Town Hall. “Mother Goose,” the greatest of all pantomimes, is to be the •attrr, / “ion. It is | to be presented by Mr. George Stephenson in exactly the same manner as it was at the Auckland Opera House three weeks ago. Since its metropolitan production no alteration has been made in the caste, ballet, and chorus being exactly the same that appeared in the big city of the North. Judging from the notices in the Auckland Star and Herald, the present production of “Mother Goose” is something out of the ordinary. G ( reat praise has been given to the principals, who are supported by a full' ballet, chorus, and orchestra. The scenery for the production has all been painted by leading Sydney artists, while the costumes are by Zenda, the well-known George Street (Sydney) costumiere. Special attention has been paid to the speciality items, of which quite a number are introduced during the progress of the extravaganza. Chief amongst these are Miss Rubee Raymond, charming toe dancer; the Wahine Haka Trio of acrobatic and whirlwind dancers; Mr. Will Speed, the Tramp Cyclist; and the marvellous Fredo Brothers, whose turns are described by the press as the finest of its kind seen in Australasia. Those who wish to see a bright show with a big metropolitan 1 ; reputatoin should not miss seeing 4 “Mother Goose” to-night.
