HIDE AND SKIN REPORT, Messrs. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., Wellington, report having offered a good catalogue of skins and hides. Wool offered principally consisted of bag ’ots. Competition, when comparted with last year's sale, was dull, no doubt owing to a number of outside buyers being busy with main wool sales. Skins were lower by from id t-o fd and hides also showed a decline of from d to id. Tallow was Arm at late rates. Range of prices was as under. Sheepskins. —Ilalfbrcd, lid, Hid, fine crossbred, Hid. Hsd; mediumcoarse crossbred, 10id, 113 d, short to half-wools. s id, Did: dead and damaged crossbred, 7d, 9id; inferior and badly damaged, Id, 7d: lambs, *d, 10-id; damp, salted and green, 4/3, 10/10; pelts, 1/9, 2/9.
