RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
ENGINEER ’8 REPORT. Following is the Engineer’s report fcr the month of November: — Throughout the month the weather has continued wet and up-country roads have suffered considerable damage by slips, etc. However, nothing has happened and all roads are now open for traffic. j TE KAPUA RIDING. I Roads only fair order owing to ! rains. j Numerous slips have occurred on ! Upper Turakina Valley Road, above Papanui, and men are engaged clearing them off. Papa-burning. Mangaweka - Te Kapua Road—This work is in hand, but has been delayed by rain. Ohingaiti Ballast has'been delivered in depots for repairs. As steam roller has finished in Taihape Borough, I propose to re-form County portion of Taihape-Mataroa Road. AW ABU A RIDING. Delivery of repair gravel on Gorge Road has been completed. Several slips have occurred on Kawhatau Road, but have all been opened out for traffic. County Depots have been replenished with ballast from Ohingaiti Pit. EREWHON RIDING. Roads in fair order. Sever.'l slips have occurred bui have been cleared off.
