"MOTHER GOOSE" PANTOMIME

Under the direction of Mjr George i Stephenson, the popular theatrical entrepreneur, the Stanley McKay Panto- ] mime Company, whose help during the , (recent Taihape Queen Carnival was so acceptable, will appear in this town | on Tuesday and Wednesday next. j The Melbourne Argus, of March 15, 1915, ysas of Stanley McKay and Co.'s Pantomime, "Mother Goose": "Markied success attended the pantomime j production at the Bijou- Theatre on j Saturday last by Stanley McKay and Co," while the Melbourne Age of the same date records: "The production was a distinct success. The principals did exceedingly well —sufficiently well, in fact, to challenge comparison with those who liave filled similar roles in othe»r productions of the kind." "Mother Goose" is to staged in Taihape at the Town Hall -<n Tuesday with the complete company that did such wonderful business in Auckland a couple of weeks ago. Amongst the speciality artists engaged for the New Zealand tour of this company aro .he Fredo Brothers, musical comedy acrobats, The Hobart "Post" says of these artists: "The Fredo Brothers were seen in a remarkable turn. Billed as musical acrobatic artists they went through a series of most difficult evolutions, the whole playing violins and keeping in perfect time and utne. The instruments were played by them while almost in any position, even while som- I ersaulting through the air. It is a won- j derful act, and one which it is seldom | the good fortune of people in these j parts to witness." The Fredo B'rothers are only one of many excellent features in "Mother Goose" and "Cinderella" the latter piece being the production for Wednesday. 'The box plans are open at Finch's, whefre seats may be reserved without extra charge.
