BURNSIDE PRICES
DUNEDIN, Nov. 23
At Burnside to-day 15.'’. fat catt/i were yarded, mostly medium quality bullocks and heifers, with a few pens of prime bullocks. Competition was slack, and prices receded about 10/ to 15/. Best bullocks made £ls to £l7 10/. extra £l9 5/, medium £l2 to £l3 10/, inferior £lO to £l2, best cows and heifers £ll- 10/ to £l3 10/, extra £l4 7/0, medium £9 to £lO 10/, inferior £7 10/ to £8 10/.
Fat Sheep: 1080 penned, consisting of fair to good quality. Competition was only fair at the commencement, but. towards the end prices improved, and closed' at about last week’s level. Prime woolly wethers made 42/ to 45/, medium 35/ to 38/, inferior 30/ to 32/(1, medium 35/ to 38/, inferior 30/ to 32/(1, prime shorn wethers 29/ to 34/, medium 23/ 20/, inferior 20/ to 23/. prime woolly ewes 39/ to 42/0, medium 32/0 to 35/, inferior 22/ to 24/, prime shorn ewes 20/ to 3/, extra 32/9, medium 21/ to 24/, inferior 18 t/o 20/.
Fat Lambs: 81 penned, and owing to the small yarding values rose 1/ to 2/ Prime made 20/ to 23/, extra 25/0, medium 17/ to 18/0, inferior--14/ to 10/. Pio-s; A small yarding, and prices were* much better than last week, both for fats and stores.
