Messrs W. D. Davies, of Utiku, T. H* Lukin, Hihitalhi, and J. Lewis, of Hihitahi, proceeded to camp on Monday last.
Staff-Sergt.-Major Tuckey has .received the following telegram from Heal*
quarters—
“You aire required to supply eight infantry men to arrive at Trenthan* not later than Ist December. * t
Arrangements are being made for Staff Sergt.-Major Tuckey to deliver a lecture in the Town Hall on the 4tS of December, the subject of the lecture being “Explosive Shells and Ma-chine-guns.” A machine-gun and sectional shells will be sent here to enable the public to more readily follow the lecture.
