It is understood that the Council of Education has defined eight education al districts, namely, Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Wanganui, Wellington, (with Marlborough), Canterbury, Otago and Southland. The ninth district will be either South Canterbury or Nelson. Westland and Grey are likely to go with Canterbury.
