The fortnightly sitting of the Tai nape Magistrate's Court was held yes terday, Mr J. G. L. Hewitt presiding For driving a motor 'cycle on a foot path, Cyril WVigihtson was convictec and fined 10/ For driving vehicles without lights William Anderson and Mrs Quillmar were each convicted and fined 5/. Judgment by default was given for plaintiffs in the following cases: British and Continental Piano Co. v. A. Svenson, £lO 6/, costs £1 10/6; G. | Parker v. M. Casey £9 1/7, costs 23/6; R. T. Batley v. Te Heulieu Takino, £lO, costs 32/6; J. Devane v. \V. Mosen, £6, costs 23/6; Jopp and McNair.ara v J. Grogan, £2 IS/6, costs 10/; R. Wilson and Co. c. J. McLennan, £26 5/11, costs £2 14/.
