WANGANUI AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION. THE PATRIOTIC SHOW. Great interest centres in the Wanganui Agricultural Association’s Patriotic Show which will be held cn Wednesday and Thursday next. *; Splendid entries have been received those in the stock classes contituti.ig a record. This year the challenge shields far heavy draught torses will Le competed for on a local ground, the trophies last year being allocated to the, Waikato Show at Hamilton. Handsome silver cups, donated by the Christchurch Meat Company, have been awarded for the prize-winners in fat cattle and fat sheep classes. The fat stock should be one of the best exhibits; of its kind yet seen in a. Dominion Show. Heave entries have been ream /;d hi the dog classes, and the various breeds wit] be well represented on the benches. Entries have come in from places wide afield, and indicate an increasingly keen competition among the canine fanciers. Inside exhibits have always been a strong feature o flocal Shows, and this year interest will be fully sustained. As will be seen in another column special train service will be run to enable residents of other centres to visit Wanganui on Show days.
