O’Connor Opera Compresented the musical comedy, (“The Girl in the Taxi,” which has | proved a groat succss wherever staged. J There was not a very large attemhneo last night, due undoubtedly to the heavv calls on the pubitic through the Carnival, but those present were given a treat. The music was good, and the voices were also good, while there was plenty of snap and merriment in the comedy. The company is a strong one and it is to be hoped that it will not be long ore they visit Taihape again. To be a success a comedy needs to be clever and sparkling with good music, and the piece presented last evening fulfilled these qualifications. It is certain that the next time this company appears on the boards in Taihape th >v will be greeted by a crowded house.
