LIEUTENANT HULBERT. In .Saturday's issue of the "Daily 1 Times" a list of those New Zealanders mentioned in General Sir lan Hamilton's despatches was published, included amongst the names being that of Lieutenant Hulbert, of the Engineers. Lieutenant Hulbert is a son of Mr. C. P. Hulbert, a former Mayor of Christehurch, and one of his brothers, Mr. A.' Hulbert, lives at Utiku. At the time of enlistment Lieutenant Hulbert, who is 32 years of age, was employed in the Post Office, "Wellington, but he is very wellKknown in the Main Trunk district. He served three years in the Regular Army before he was 21 years of age. There are six sons In the famil3 r , three of whom are at present serving at the front.
