Captain Brownlee was demonstrating bomb throwing with a catapult gun at Jantin, and a bomb prematurely exploded, injuring Capt. Brownlee and two others. Captain Brownlee held a commission in the Worcesters, and after being wounded at Flanders, was appointed to the stall of Duntroon College in Australia.
