The Taihape Daily Times AND WAIMARINO ADVOCATE.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 30, 1915. TO OUR READERS.

(With which is incorporated The Taihape Post and Waimarino News.)

Owing to the sudden breakage of the main driving rod of our large twofeeder printing machine, yesterday afternoon, just as the printing of the issue was commenced, we were unable to get out the "Taihape Daily Times" till too late to be delivered to the more distant parts of our circulation. The breakage was just one of those ordinary accidents that will happen at anv time and to any machine; it could not have been foreseen, no matter how vigilant our chief machinist' may have been, and as the old i*od is to be replaced by a new one, it is not likely to give trouble in the future.

r i here is one aspect of our misfortune which is of interest to everyoody in the Taihape and Waimarino districts using machinery, and that is, it lias brought under notice once more i.ie splendid engineering equipment that Taihape possesses for promptly dealing with extremely difficult engineering and mechanical bi-eakages. The break in our machine' was a serious one, one that required extreme engineering ski':, and the best of engineering machinery, but Messrs Marsh and Miller were only an hour or two in accomplishing Avhat to us seemed alnvstimpossible; we were indeed surprised to have our huge machine running as smoothly again, as though nothing had happened, in an incrediblv short space of time. It is not the first occasion that we have had cause to highly appreciate the splendid equipment of Messrs Mar&h and Miller's Taihape Foundry and Engineering Works, and we can strongly recommend these engineers to every user of machinery in our large territory. Whether it be for a new casting in brass or iron, engineering forge work, or the very highest skilled lathe work, there is no need to go farther than tihe Taihape foundry. It is not a small country shop, out an engineering establishment which surpasses many of a similar character In large cities.
