LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd,, beg to advise having reecived the following cable from their London' house under date of the 26th inst—- " The wool sales opened with an average atendance of buyers, the selection of offerings being fair to good.. A s compared with closing rates of last sales, prices for good merinos rule firm, and are unchanged, whilst faulty merinos were neglected. Greasy crossbred, fine to medium were 5 per cent, to 7J per cent, dearer, and coarse 5 per cent, dearer. Scoured slipes ware 5 per cent, dearer.
TAIHAPE SALE
.•'Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having a fair yarding of sheep and; cattle at their Taihape sale on the 27th inst., the whole of whidfr was sold at prices highly satisfactory to the vendors. We can quote as follows. Sheep.—Mixed aged ewes with lambs at'foot, to 33/3; small mixed hoggets in/wool, l'i/6; mixed hoggets in wool, 25/1 to £5/6; small merino wethors, to 16/3. ' Cattle.—Small mixed yearlings to £2 5/: yearling steers to £3 1?/; Jersey bulls, £3 7/6 to £6 10./; Holsteih bulls to £9 5/; store coWs, £5 8/ to £6 10/; -cows, calf at foot, to £6 10/;•'-springing heifers to £4 5/; 2-yr Jersey heifers to £3 8/.
