At our usual monthly sale to-day, we offered a good catalogue to a large attendance of buyers. Competition was keen, and prices for wool and sheepskins advanced about half to thrcecrartcr pence per lb on last siles •rates. Hide s and calfskins sold '.n a par with late sale’s rates. Wool. —Crossbred in bags, 121 d to 133,d; ditto, dead, good lots, H3d to 123 d; ditto, inferior, 9£d to 101 d; crutchings, free of seed, 113 d to 12r t d; inferior and seedy, 4d to 73d; black wool, 10itl; pieces and locks, 41d to 73d.

Sheepskins.—Full wool coarse, 93d, 10d to 103 d; medium and fine to lOld; broken and damaged 6d to 73d; hoggets, woolly, lOd to 103 d; shorn, to 71d; sort and half-wools, 61d to 7d; ditto, inferior, 4d to sld; dead skins, 8d to 83d; butchers’ part dry and salted crossbred at each: Best heavy lines 10/ to 10/6, good 8/, 8/5. to 8/9; medium and light, 6/6 to 7/10; pelts 1/4 each.

Hides. —Cows, best lines 83d to 8 7-8 d; medium to good BJd. to 8 5-8 d; inferior and rough, 73d to 83d; ox. medium and heav|y, lOd to lOld; ox, light, 9d to 9|d; cut and slippy, 73d to 8d; cow, cut and slippy, 63d to 73d; yearlings 7£d to 73d; yearlings, cut and damaged, 4d to 6^d.

Abraham and Williams, Limited, report on Marton sale, held last Tuesday. We had a fair 'yarding of sheep and a small yarding" of cattle. We have to report a good sale at the following prices;

Siheep.—Mixed 2-tooths, shorn, 19/; 4-th do., 21/; -woolly hoggets, 23/2, 24/; empty ewes, shorn, 15/7; woolly do., 20/4; ewes and lambs, 30/, 34/; 6-tb. do., extra good, £2; fat ewes, shorn, 19/11; fat ewes, woolly, 28/, 29/.

Cattle.— Dairy cows, £4 15/ to £6; best do, £8 10/; springing heifers £4 5/, £5.17/6, Jersejy bulls £2 17/6, £5, mixed yearlings £2 15/ to £3 1/, weaners 26/, empty heifers £2 10/, empty cows, £2 15/ to £4 16/, fat cows £lO 10/.
