MAGISTRATE COURT
<r«. A silting of the Magistrate's Court was held at Taihape on Wednesday, Mr J. 0. L. Hewitt, S.M., presiding. A first offender was convicted and discharged for drunkenness and another was convicted and fined 5/. COTTRT CASES. Tn the civil case, J. De Luen v. Patrick E. McHugh, a claim for £8 5/, judgment by default was given for plaintiff with 23/ costs. In the civil case, G. Putcherd and ethers v. Charles Hutton, p'aintiff ! claimed £52 15/ for payment for timI ber supplied to mill. Defendant couixi tevc3c?ime<i for £2OO for loss of profit oving to timber not being milled. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £52 15'" with £5 17/ costs, and also, oa the counter-claim with £3 3/ costs.
