TROUBLE AT WALSH ISLAND. (Reed 5.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day Workmen on Walsh Island have given a fortnight’s notice to strike owing to the Government’s slowness in awarding the deferred and holiday pay. The island works are manufacturing munitions, and the strike will cause great inconvenience and delay. FEDERATED MASTER ENGINEERS’ ASSOCIATION. COMPULSORY CONFERENCE.
