ENTERTAINMENTS.

ARMIES OF THE WORLD PICTURES"' One great feature of this entertain* ment is that it is not a mere pictureshow. It is a portrayal of life and death, and shows, as no novelist’s port. could, the realism of warfare. The pictures take one from the recruiting camps to the battlefields, through a three days’ battle, with the soldiers being shot before ones eyes, and ’through - all the deversified scenes connected ’ with warfare, which falls to the lot of the average soldier on active service. Many incidents are very aptly explained by Mr. Holmes, the photographer, who took most of the so that a most interesting evening of picture and story is promised. The Armies of Europe pictures will’ be presented at the Three Stars Theatre, Taihape, on Wednesday next, the 29th inst. Box plan at Finch’s Bazaar.
