Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd.. lnve received the following cables from London office: —

(15th September): Tallow Sales: At the auction sales the average price was higher by 9d per ewt. (20th September): Wool Sales: The tone of the market is rather better, and the export license is being granted more freely. The date of our own sales has been altered from the 23rd to the 25th September.

Messrs. Dalgety and Co , Ltd.-, beg to advise having received the following cab'.b from their London office, under date of the 21st September:. — The seventh series of sales opens on the 2Gth October, lists for which closed on the ISth September. The total amount of new arrivals is about 90,000 bales. It is to be expected that about 57,000 bales will be carried forward for the eighth series, opening on the 7th December, limits for which will be fixed later.
