THE MAYORESS' APPEAL. • The Mayoress of Taihape has received a wire from the Mayoress of Wellington ashling for bed equipments ' for the new Hospital feiaip. The Mayoress informed our reporter, that, in response to her initial enquiries, she could get no definite promises of assistance, but she hoped that by giving the matter publicity through the press, any person or organisations willing to assist this project will communicate with her. Meanwhile, she has been forced to repljy that owing to the Carnival being in progress she i$ unable to mahe definite promises.
