MELBOURNE, Sept. 13. The first instalcjcrat of the war Joan closed with a total of £13,350,000. New •South Wales subscribed 5] millions. Including the balance to be raised, the war loe.n will only meet the requirements of the Commonwealth until about the end of the calendar year. As the States require money to the extent of 15 millions, another loan of 30 millions is considered probable. It is understood that the Federal State Premiers have practically agreed that there shall be no borrowing excent through the Commonwealth.
