The name of the talented Kennedy, Company has" become a household word throughout New Zealand, in association ( witjh the delightful entertainments they j give, and their subsequent visits to any , place are airways anticipated with great, pleasure. Gishorne people were given ( the opportunity, at the Opera House | recently to enjoy one of the fine con- j certs given by the Kennedy family, and the large audience was very appreciative and enthusiastic, as the meritorious nature of the performance fully justified. Everjy item was rendered in an artistic manner that charmed tlhe audience, and very warm encores were the order of the evening. From the outset a good idea was obtained as to tli e popularity of the compaiy, which fe based on the ability to provide excellent vccaß and instrumental music j in a way that pleases the most critical and deligtots all who have the good fortune to be present. The rovrptny opened with an instrum;.vital cuartette, bringing in the violin., 'ceilo, t-.ute, and piano, in which members" of the company gave some idea of the treat in sfore for the expectant audiience. There was an enthusiastic encore, and the enthusiasm increased during the
