REVOLUTIONISING RECRUITING

AUSTRA LIAN CAMPAIGN. SYDNEY,. September 5. The Federal Parliamentary War Committee, with a view to preventing spasmodic enlistment, is arranging for co-operating with the State Committees in organising a great campaign throughout the Commonwealth. It is stated that the Defence Department can deal with K5,0p0 men monthly, the various States being New South Wales and Victoria 5,200 each, Queensland 2,200, South Australia .1,400, Westraiia 1,200, Tasmania SOD. The committee urges that the call is primarily to the young unmarried men, but as the need is urgent married men should be accepted. New South Wales opens her campaign on the 20th inst. The dates of those of the other States arc- being arranged.
