MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
(Before W. R. Haselden, S.M.) CLAIM FOR COMMISSION. At the ,Police Court on Saturday morning, before Mr W. R» Haselden, S.M., John Mortland, grocer’s assistant, Taihap.e, proceeded against the Otaihape Meat and Produce Company,' of Talhape, for the sum of £l6 5/. Tlhis amount was claimed as commis-sion'-on shares in the company procured by him, which he had induced various people to take up. Mr A. C. Nathan, Jun., appeared for Mr Mortland and Mr R. J. Loughnan defended. After a lengthy hearing, His Worship reserved his decision until Monday mofrninjg. At tjhe Court this morning, Mr Haselden announced his decision, which was a judgment for the plaintiff for £7 10/ and costs amounting to £1 16/.
