Taihape & District QUEEN of the CARNIVAL FITS. It has been decided to hold a QUEEN OF THE CARNIVAL FETE in Taihape and contiguous districts in aid of the WOUNDED SOLDIERS’ FUND. This war affects us all: Our lives and liberties are at stake, and if we can’t fight, then it is our BGUNDEN DUTY TO KEEP THOSE WHO ARE FIGHTING FOR US. We want your monetary assistance, for we don’t want it to be said that New Zealand forgot her gallant sons in the hour of their need. Remember thatour brave boys are GIVING THEIR LIFE’S BLOOD for the noblest cause in the history of civilisation — THEY GAN GIVE NO MORE 1 So let those of us who are onlookers in this great struggle for Justice, Freedom, and Humanity —and the farmers in this country are reaping the benefit of the unfortunate conditions prevailing- - awake to the fact that it is our sacred duty to help the boys who , are fighting our battles. Then * let us give freely and generously, even if we have to make a little sacrifice. Send along a cheque for the amount of your donation to the Fund to the Hon. Treas. (MR. A. E.
