h©Bl are smiling happy babies with strong bones, a happy disposition and a strong constitution, the finest foundation on which to build a happy, prosperous life. This is a good description of babies reared on Glaxo, the Food that “Builds Bonnie Babies.” This is because Glaxo is simply the solids of enriched milk, made germ-free by the Glaxo Process, which also breaks down the nourishing curd of the milk into minute, easily-digested particles. When mixed with boiling water, Glaxo at once forms a modified milk which is natural (not artificial) nourishment—a complete food for baby from birth. While easily digestible, Glaxo is not pre-digested, and therefore promotes a healthy activity of the digestive organs without subjecting them to undue strain. Taken a “night cap” by Adults, Glaxo induces sound, healthy sleep. Ask your Doctor! It is stated on good authority that German trade journals, by order of the Imperial Government, has discontinued the printing of advertisements coming from any foreign country, whether neutral or belligerent. The reason is said to lie in the possibility that the innocent- appearing advertisement might contain a cipher message. And this (writes the Financier) is not the Celestial Empire, but a nation that claims to load the world in intelligence and | en’/ightenment. Perhaps, however, this is only a Teutonic attempt to hide from the rest of the world the fact that nobody outside Germany has any further use for that country’s journals as an advertising medium. The subject for this year’s Navy League essay competition for schoolchildren will be, as before, “What Naval Disaster Would Mean to the British Empire.” In a circular letter ,4 issued to headmasters, the local honorary secretary of the league states that it is proposed to have the competition open to all’ senior scholars, say from the 4th standard upwards. The conduct of the examination and the allotment of the prizes is left to the discretion of the masters. The prizes are t I bo presented at a Trafalgar, celgbra- ' ■ion to bo held rt the Wellington Town! Hall on the evening of October 21st.
