_ PUBLIC NOTICE i 3 hereby given that, under the provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," "The Rating Act, 1908/- and "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 19-08," and the amendments thereof respectively, and all other powers and authorities itthereunto enabling, it is the- intsntion of the Taihape Borough Council., at a Special Meeting to be held in the Council Chambers, Town Flail, Taihape, on FRIDAY, the 3rd day of SEPTEMBER.: 1915. at S pin., to make and 1.-vy the following rates for the year commencing en the l;-t. day of APRIL, 1013. and ending on th e Cist day of MARCH, '1916: A GENERAL RATE of one penny

and a. half (lid) in the £ on the rateable value of alt rateable property within the Borough of Taihape A LIGHTING RATE of one-seventh or a penny (l-7d) in the £ on the rateable value of all rateable properly within the Eorrngh of Tai'nape. A WATER RATE, under the prcvisioiis of Section 83 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," and its amendments, on all rateable property within the Taihape Water Supply Rating District a:.d all property outside •such .District', jsiturjted within one hundred yards from any part of the Waterworks, In addition to th e above, the Council proposes to levy the following - Special Rates fcr payment of Interest and Sinking f*und en the undermentioned leans: Loan of £6OOO (Streets and Footpaths Improvement) a rate of five-sixteenths of a penny (5-16 d) in the £. Loan of £2OOO (Town Hall additional)', a rate of one-tenth of a penny (1-lCd) in th e £- Loan of £21,250 (Waterworks, Electric Light, etc.), a rate of one penny and nine-sixteenths (1 9-lGd) in the £. Loan of £ll3l 11/4 (Drainage Area No. 1), a rate of one-ninth of a penny (l-9d) in the £. Loan of £1034 19/11 (Drainage Area No. 2). a rate of One farthing (Id) in the £. Loan of £3750 (Drainage Area No-. 3), a rat e of one penny (Id) in the £. Loan of £2SO3 19/5 (Taihape Township Roads), o rate of cneseventh (l-7d) in the Z. Loan of £1346-7/11 (Otaihape I.F.S. Roads), a rate cf one-fifth c: a penny (1-ud) in ih e ~- Loan of (Waterworks additional), a rat e of nine-thirty-sec-onds of a penny (9-C2d) in the £. All such Rates to be payable in one installment on the 20th day of SEPTEMBER. 1915, at the Town Clerk's Glfice. Taihape.
