LONDON SHEEP SKIN.SALES., WELLINGTON, August 14. Dalgety Company, Limited, Wellington, received the following telegram from their London, Office, under, date of 12th instant:. Sheep skin sales have closed. Merinos generally were id lower, whilst , clothing declined 3-8 d and shorn were neglected. Crossbred combing were 2d. lower, and lambs id lower, and clothing and shorn were neglected., 6,600' bales were offered, and 4,100 sold, WELLINGTON, August 14. Dalgety and Company, Ltd, received; the following cablegram from theirLondon office, under date of 11th instant: At th e sheepskin sales, competition wag fair. Merino combing and clothing skins showed a decline of id' per lb,, and crossbreds were lower. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., . Palmerston North, report having a very good entry of sheep and cattle at their Feeding sale on Friday, 13tli inst. Competition was not quite so good for sheep, but as at previous sales cattle again sold well. Quotations: Small mixed' hoggets .12/ to 14/9, medium mixed hoggets 15/6 to 16/5," very fair mixed hoggets to 17/, mixed’age ewes in lamb--13/9 to 14/6, ewes in lamb IS/10 to--19/3, empty store ewes to 12/, forward empty-owes to 19/3, fat and'forward;
ewes to 20/6, fat hoggets 39/7; weaner steers £2 5/. 2-y. old heifers £3 15/, empty cows £4 17/6, light fat cows £(? IS/6; backward dairy heifers £4 17/6,. dairy cows to £S, 2t-yr. steers to £® IS/, 3-yr. steers to £S 11/.
